Aztecs around campus are saving lives left and right with their generous participation in the recent blood drive. On May 26th students volunteered to donate blood for the local Red Cross Foundation. The blood drive strives to collect many different participants of all blood types in order to create the greatest impact as possible.

When asked about the importance of donating blood, Senior Allana Cecilio was eager to share her inspiration for donating. Cecilio stated, “I wanted to give blood because recently my grandma was hospitalized and received several blood transfusions.” After stating how donations have impacted her life this fellow Aztec went on to describe her personal goal for these blood donations. “I thought it was the right thing to donate my own blood to help save more lives.”

Esperanza was very fortunate to have had as many volunteers as it did, displaying our amazing hearts that we hold within our Aztec family.
