The Detour since season one has pushing the boundaries on the family comedy that most people know and love. With their crazy antics and out of this world plot lines the detour is sure to keep the laughs coming all the way through season two.

Season two picks up with Nate, Jason Jones, and Robin, Natalie Zea, still being questioned by the FBI. This season is more of a Robin story and consist of viewers finding out her background and why she’s had so many identities. With the a move to New York, kids being shipped Cuba, parents getting lost in Cuba and the infamous “ass” this season has more twist and turns than any regular tv show.

Creators and writers of the show Jones and Samantha Bee, The Daily Show alumni and couple, push boundaries with good taste. That includes questionable parenting decisions – frequently leaving the children understandably horrified – plenty of blurred nakedness, hilarious misunderstandings and a whole lot of bodily fluids.

The Detour goes back and forth between Nate and Robin being questioned by the FBI, for we still don’t know why, and flashbacks to the crazy things in their lives that have already happened. This narrative allows viewers to be kept on their seats waiting for more with every episode.

Overall season two was extremely funny. Viewers learned so much more about the family and their crazy life that is under investigation. With crazy plot twist however it does make it slightly hard for the lazy TV watcher to understand.

The Detour season two has just ended and fans are waiting to find out what laughs are in store for them in season three.
