Bronson Osborn wins a medal for the USA at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Poland.

Bronson Osborn won a bronze medal for the USA at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland over the summer.

Osborn traveled to Poland in July to represent the USA for the shot put and discus portion of the Under-20 Championships, of which more than 80 American athletes competed in. “I had a great time there, the experience was very cool” said Osborn, “The Polish were friendly and most spoke English.” The competition was held at the Zawisza Stadium and lasted from July 19 to July 24.

During the shot put event, Osborn placed 3rd and won the first medal for the USA on his third throw at 69’ 9.50, which also became his PR. During the discus competition, Osborn threw 184’ 5.00, although he did not medal for this event.

The results for shot put were a complete surprise to Bronson Osborn, as he claimed that he was unsure of how well he would do and was waiting to see what happened. Yet, when it came right down to it, his skills were able to pull him through and win a bronze medal for the USA.

As for Osborn’s plans for the future, he plans to attend UCLA next fall and continue his athletic career. He also intends to go to the 2019 Pan American Games, an international multi-sport event, which is scheduled to start July 26 of that year.
