Ashlyn Fuentes, Photojournalist
Ashlyn Fuentes is returning to the 2016-17 The Aztlàn staff for her second year as a photojournalist. She is responsible for photographing social and sporting events as well as students and teachers for the paper. She also must coordinate and communicate with her fellow photojournalists in order to ensure the best quality of photos. What makes her a unique staff member is her spunky and spontaneous personality. She is constantly laughing and making jokes. Ashlyn prefers to keep the mood light and fun for everyone. Oddly enough, what makes her unique and a newsroom environment, is her compassion for others. Her favorite journalism quote is by German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer, who said “Journalists are like dogs, when ever anything moves they begin to bark.”
