Best date: In order for you to understand how my date went from good, to bad, to forever, you must first understand how it began. Six months prior to my 21st birthday, I broke up with my boyfriend Paul who I had been dating for about 6 months. Although Paul had some major growing up to do, I knew he was the “one” I wanted to marry. After 3 months, I started the dating process again and began dating Jason. As my 21st birthday approached, he thought he would do something extra special. He coordinated with a group of my friends to celebrate as he made dinner plans, rented a limousine, and planned to go out to a club. What I didn’t know was that one of my friends told my ex boyfriend, Paul, our plans for the evening. So when we arrived at our final destination, I was more than surprised to see Paul waiting for me. Needless to say, it took about one hour before I caved and left with Paul while Jason watched from the door of the club. Although I broke the heart of a very good friend/boyfriend that night, I gained a forever. Paul and I have been together ever since then and married for 23 years.
