Deporting Mexicans is unfair to those who have lived in the States for years. The American Immigration Council says that“ Deportation can cause Mental health issues like depression, which could negatively impact the development of one’s brain.” Racial inequality can affect those now, and also future generations as creating barriers will make it hard for them to overcome. According to the National Institutes of Health, they said “Children born into racially marginalized communities often are inherited with limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities”. Strict immigration policies are necessary to protect the national security of US citizens and will do so with essential precautions.
They can be strict with the policy, but at the same time, don’t break up families that aren’t doing anything wrong and are contributing to the economic system. I asked someone who preferred to stay anonymous why they felt that not all Mexicans should be deported and this is what he said: “It’s important for them not to get rid of those who bring stability and purpose into the economic system”. Disadvantaged kids are born into inequalities that make it harder to overcome. A quote from a famous Latino leader said “We must use our lives to make the world a better place to live, not just to acquire things”. The reasons Mexicans leave their country are because of violence and for an opportunity; sending them back without addressing these problems doesn’t help people who are trying to live better lives.
Mexicans are put at a severe disadvantage compared to other countries because it’s harder for them to get a visa in the United States. After all, there are few opportunities, and few people have sufficient funds. A Hispanic person once said, “Immigrants built America.” Mexicans are considered to be one of the hardest-working races, and if you take them out of the field jobs, who do they expect to take that position over? A quote I heard when I was younger from a Mexican worker said, “Their sweat is forged in the sweat of their labor and the heart of their culture”. There are no balances because, as one can argue, people shouldn’t be ripped from their families. There are policies the government has to follow.
