Rite Aid. When most people think of it they think of three things: prescriptions, vaccines, and ice cream. As a junior and 16 years old, I grew up with Thrifty ice cream.

“Over 150 Rite Aid stores will be closing after the company declared Bankruptcy,” says CBS News. This includes the one in Yorba Linda next to Trader Joe’s.

“Rite Aid has announced it will close at least 154 locations as part of its bankruptcy process” stated NBCNews.com. Twenty of those locations are in Southern California.

Only time will tell what will move into the Yorba Linda store. Some workers have guessed maybe a gym or a grocery store may move in. Nobody knows why this particular location closed. Some people think it may be due to the rent being too high in Yorba Linda.

Many people in Yorba Linda have enjoyed friendly relationships with the employees and pharmacists since some of the employees have been there for many years.
