Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron star in the Baywatch movie reboot. The new movie reboot is being made by Paramount studios and a spin off from the old Baywatch TV series.

Based off the trailer this new movie seems to involve the rebranding on the old Baywatch. Johnson stars as veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon, who quickly comes into conflict with cocky newcomer Matt Brody (Zac Efron), a gold medal-winning swimmer who is welcomed to the team to help with the rebranding. They ultimately land with the issue of a dead body on their beach and try to become cop like and solve the crime.

Quantico actress, Priyanka Chopra will play the film’s villain, a new character called Victoria Leeds.

The movie began shooting in February and Johnson has been flooding his Instagram account with pictures of himself and his castmates Filming wrapped in April.

Fans of the tv show are anticipating a sort of Fast and Furious like movie. Baywatch will arrive on May 19 in the US.
