Born in China review
Born in China is the newest Disney Nature film that follows four families of animals in chinese wildlands. A camera crew followed a group of monkeys, leopards, pandas and antelopes from all over china.
All the animals are extremely adorable. All the families had babies who all made the audience go “awwwww” in unison. But besides also showing the cutest aspects of the animals lives, the movie did not shy away from the hardships. The leopards were starved nearly to death, for example, and a baby monkey was taken by a hawk.
The writing and narration was fantastic, actually. The writing was interesting and informative while also being witty and kinda funny. I gave a decent laugh at a few points in the movie. It was made even better by it being done by John Krasinski (Jim from the office). His voice fit every situation very well, from the fun and lighthearted to the more sad parts.
The music was also a strong suit. Most of the emotion in the movie came from the music, making you tense up and relax depending on the situation that was being presented.
Overall the movie was very enjoyable. It was a lot of fun and pretty informative. If you enjoy documentaries, especially about animals, then I would recommend.
