Luis Sanchez is a dedicated sophomore at our school and he let me interview him. Luis is passionate about his grades, with his favorite subject being Language Arts because “that is what I am best at,” he says. He does not play sports at Esperanza because Luis wants to focus more on his grades.
In his free time, Luis likes to go to the gym, where his favorite exercise is the bench press. “I like to work out because it keeps me busy,” he says. He likes to stay healthy as a part of his routine.
When it comes to food, Luis loves chilaquiles, a yummy Mexican dish. He also enjoys listening to music, with his favorite artist being Childish Gambino because in his opinion his music is “very awesome,” Luis says.
Although he does not have a job, Luis says that his best talent is being quiet. “I’m super quiet around people that I don’t know,” he says. He does wish he were better at studying though, because then it would allow him to work better. “It would be helpful to not ask for help and do things myself,” he explains.
Luis also has some dreams for the future. He wants to travel out of California because he thinks it is “a little bland” for him. He also looks up to his dad who is a good role model to him.
Luis Sanchez is a hardworking student who has big plans ahead. His effort in his grades and himself makes him a good student at Esperanza High School.
