Softball season has ended with to an appearance in the CIF tournament. This year, The team went 24-5 and became the first team to go undefeated in the league. Catcher Hailey Bosley, senior, said “This year was great, all the girls came together and we really hit are stride”.

Bosley has a scholarship to Middle Tennessee State, she also lead the team in home runs with 8 and was awarded defensive player of the year. The team made it to the semi-finals of CIF before a heartbreaking loss to Newbury Park 2-0. This is the farthest the softball team has gone in a decade.

This year was a great improvement compared to the past couple of years, the program is going in the right direction, we are losing some key players but are team is young and excited it’s going to be a great couple of upcoming years. Right fielder Jillian Grimes, Junior, said “we had a great season and I can’t wait to come back next year and play I think will do really good” She had a sorta come from behind season form a slow start to a red hot end.

Pitcher Chrys Hildebrand, senior, said “This season was a great step up from previous seasons.  Everyone stepped up their game this year in every aspect. I have been so honored to have been able to play with this group of girls and I can’t wait to see where life takes them.” She was the star this year she lead the line for the push to CIF.

This season brought a lot of girls together to push for a championship and they didn’t disappoint us at all. They played their hardest and showed the fans that you can do anything as a team.
