“I started playing water polo when I was 10 years old and I started playing because I didn’t like soccer or baseball. My mom suggested trying our water polo because my sister played when she was in high school. I started playing club when I ten and when I turned twelve that’s when I started competing. When I was 13, I tried out for the Youth Cadet team and I made it as an alternate and I was one of the younger ones on the team. Going into high school as a freshman, I made the varsity water polo team. This was a shock and I wasn’t expecting to be on varsity. As I go throughout high school I plan to continue on varsity water polo my next three years. It’s really fun and I enjoy contributing to win for my school.”
