A subject debated for a long time, ‘Which sport is the hardest?’ Many people will say baseball, football, water polo, or even soccer. But in fact, none of those are the correct answer. Of course, this question is also based on the opinion of every athlete. But when you look at it from the fact-based side of things, espn.com says it is “Boxing. The Sweet Science. That’s the sport that demands the most from the athletes who compete in it.”  Furthermore stating, “It’s harder than football, harder than baseball, harder than basketball, harder than hockey or soccer or cycling or skiing or fishing or billiards or any other of the 60 sports we rated.” Finally ending the debate on this question.

The difficulty is based on 10 categories, endurance, strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility, nerve, durability, hand-eye coordination, and analytic aptitude. Although boxing did not score the highest in all of these categories, it still ranked up the most points overall making it today’s “most difficult sport”. Ranking first, boxing came up with a total of 72.375, in second you will find football with 71.750 points. However, if you were to ask specifically about speed, agility, flexibility, or analytic aptitude (strategy), you would find that football is more difficult than boxing in these aspects. So the question is answered but not completely. Football is the hardest team sport, but boxing still holds the title of “Most Difficult Sport”.
