Esperanza’s seinor night football game

Sam Ericson, Features Editor

Friday, October 29th was our last home football game vs Canyon High School and our senior recognition night.  Before the game commenced, our school recognized the senior members of the football, dance, cheer, band, and Colorguard. Each Senior walked across the track with their parents and supporters as their name was announced along with a list of their accomplishments from the last four years.  Seniors wore sashes to distinguish themselves from the other classes. This is a cool way that we get to honor our members of the class of 2022. The game continued as normal after the ceremony. The band played pep tunes, the student section cheered, and the dance and cheer team performed throughout the first half. At halftime, the EEU performed their nearly finished field show. The game continued after they finished their performance. After a long and tiring game, the Aztecs lost 24 to 55. Even if the football team didn’t make CIF championships, the amount of school spirit from our student section was the most it has ever been!
