Information On EHS Cheer Program

Cheerleading is a sport that is both enjoyable and outgoing. You get new skills, you get more preppy, you learn to be outgoing and you get to support your Aztec athletes on campus. If you are interested all you will need to do is add it on your next year’s Physical Education plan. To try out, no prior cheerleading experience is required; simply show up ready to cheer. If you have any questions your counselor may help, the head coach is Eric Bensing with cardinal coach Emma and gold coach Angela. There are also returner cheerleaders on campus who can answer your questions before you sign up.

A fellow cheerleader named Gizzelle Martinez joined the cheer program freshman year and she is in the Game Day division. I asked her what cheer brought her in life and what her experience was, this is what she had to say. ” Cheer brought me two amazing friendships, kept me motivated whenever something bad was going on in my life and even though there were some days where practice wasn’t good it still brought happiness to my life. Overall it just made me feel a part of something and it really helped me become open and outgoing.”
