“I guess I’ve always had a passion with basketball for almost my entire life. I’ve been playing this sport since I was 8 years old and I’ve never gotten worn out of it. My main goal, like many, is to achieve the ultimate task and play basketball in the NBA. If I made it to the NBA, I would be very proud of myself; but most importantly, I would be so happy to be able to take care of my mom [with] the money I would make. I’m so focused on helping my mom buy a new house because for the last couple of years we have rented from house to house and it is very stressful for my mom to focus on always providing for everyone in my family. So every time I play basketball I think that maybe, just maybe, if I make it to the NBA then I could help my family in so many ways. And after I do help my mom and family then I would be happy with myself and what I am pursing.”
