It has been 10 years since One Republic’s great single “Apologize” hit radios around the world. . Since then the pop band, led by songwriter and producer Ryan Tedder, the band has steadily increased its presence with epic radio hits. Despite the band’s, and Tedder’s, name recognition, it wasn’t until 2013’s Native that One Republic scored a platinum album.

“Wherever I Go,” the lead single off the band’s new album Oh My My is one of the year’s most underrated pop records, and it’s a different sound for the band. The chorus is quick-paced and mostly relies on keyboards over the countrified and electric boom of their more recent hits, “Counting Stars” and “Love Runs Out.”

This album is their most diverse album to date. As written by Entertainment Weekly, Tedder has stated in interviews that the album was designed in the same way a listener would create a playlist: without commitment to a singular genre. From electro-funk, to gospel, to rock, to synth-pop, Oh My My has something for everyone’s taste.

The best part of Oh My My is that it’s versatile. It gives an energizing sense of anonymity.  It’s an album of earnest exploration with new types of genres for them. From the chorus breakdown in “Human” to the wonderfully produced “NBhD” featuring Santigold, Oh My My keeps you engaged through all 16 tracks.
