Jewel Magalong, Reporter
In her senior year, Jewel Magalong will yet again undertake the role of an The Aztlán reporter. She has upheld positions as editor for both Campus and Feature sections of the paper, and has thoroughly improved upon her communicative and journalistic skills as a result of these experiences. Since the commencement of her writing journey, she’s taken a deep interest in the informative aspect of writing that is journalism, even more so her freshman year with then-adviser Mary Ellen Cummings. Her favorite journalism quote is by British author Warren Ellis: “You’re miserable, edgy, and tired. You’re in the perfect mood for journalism.”
